Geeva (ぎいば, Giiba) is a character from the Valis series and a member from the Rogles's army in the Mega Drive/Genesis and PC-Engine CD versions of Valis I.

Biography

Geeva was recruited by Rogles in an unknown point of her past. She also befriended with Gyeda.

During the events of Valis I (Mega Drive/ Genesis and PC Engine CD versions only) Rogles gave her a Fantasm jewel and the mission of dominating the Icy mountains in Vanity. She was successful but shortly after, Yuuko (who was lost there) found her and both fought. Geeva finally lost her life and the Fantasm jewel in the fight.

Personality

Geeva acts intimidating and sinister against her opponents and will do whatever she needs to defeat them.

She is a loyal member of Rogles's army and a good friend of Gyeda, although she almost always thinks he is a bit ingenuous.

Abilities

Being of the Harpy species, Geeva is capable of flying and diving to attack her opponents and also use her trademark technique as the lord of Ice, the Ice feather. This hability lets her throw her feathers like arrows to freeze anything.

Appearances

Geeva appears in the Mega Drive/Genesis and PC-Engine CD versions of Valis I as the second boss. She fights Yuuko and looses. She also appears in the Valis manga by ZOL where she first sends her burning guard-dog (a mini-boss from her stage in the PCE-CD version) to fight Yuuko watching the fight and then she goes to take Yuuko herself but has the same luck as in the games.

Trivia

• Geeva is the first female antagonist appeared in the series.
• She is also the only female general from Rogles's army.
• Nornil's second form from Valis IV has a slight resemblance to Geeva as this form is that one of a harpy and can also dive and fly to attack, It's unknown if they are from the same race as Nornil has many different forms.
